The person behind the work

I've spent over 20 years working with words – as a journalist, an editor and a strategic copywriter – and the thread that runs through all of it is the same: finding what's worth saying and saying it well.

I started out in journalism, which taught me to ask better questions than most, to listen carefully to the answers and to find the story that actually matters buried beneath the obvious one. I brought those instincts into copywriting and strategic messaging, and they're what make the work different.

What I care about

I'm drawn to businesses that are trying to do things properly – companies where integrity isn't a marketing line, it's how decisions get made. I work with brands in financial services alongside founders and growing businesses who care as much about how they show up as what they sell – and I'm increasingly drawn to the sustainability and positive impact space too.

I'm particularly interested in the intersection of finance and positive impact – the companies using money as a force for good – and I'm actively building my work in that space.

I believe that the best content doesn't just inform – it builds the kind of trust that makes people act. And in sectors where trust is everything, that matters more than ever.

How I work

I'm not an agency. You work directly with me – which means the thinking, the writing and the strategic input all come from the same place. I bring a journalist's curiosity to every project, which means I ask the questions your customers are actually asking, find the insight that makes your content credible, and shape it into something that earns attention rather than just demanding it.

I work with in-house marketing teams on long-form content, thought leadership and messaging strategy. And I work with ambitious founders who are ready to get serious about how they communicate.

Either way, I'm looking for the kind of work that compounds – where the content we create together builds something real over time, not just fills a calendar.

A bit more about me

I'm based in east London, which means I'm never short of inspiration, ideas or hipster coffee. I'm also a travel writer – still commissioned by editors, still filing copy on ski resorts, mountain towns and slow travel – which keeps the journalist sharp.

I started Nourish Communications because I wanted to do work that meant something, with people who felt the same way.
